Barbra Annino earned her BA in English from Roosevelt
University in Chicago while slinging burgers and beer at various
bars. She began her writing career as a technical writer for
Motorola before realizing she was allergic to pantyhose and
florescent lighting. Since then she has worked as a staff writer for
Illinois Magazine, where she wrote a monthly column, and is
currently writing freelance articles for various magazines. She
resides in Galena, Illinois where she woke up one day to
discover she owned a bed and breakfast called Huckleberry Inn.
Uncovering Amethyst is her first novel.
